The upstairs that will not cool and the back bedroom that stays freezing are almost never an equipment problem. They are an air delivery problem.
Some rooms never feel right. This is usually why.
People replace whole systems trying to fix a room. It rarely works, because the equipment was never the constraint — the ducts were.
If the return is undersized, the trunk is crushed behind a joist, or a third of the air is leaking into an attic, no amount of new equipment fixes it. We measure the air before recommending anything, because that is the only way to know.
- Static pressure testing to find where the system is choking
- Undersized returns, which is the most common fault in this county
- Leaking joints and disconnected runs in attics and crawlspaces
- Crushed flex duct and runs with more bends than they need
- Missing or wrongly sized dampers, and balancing after the fact

How we prove it rather than assert it
Airflow work is easy to sell on a hunch. We would rather show you the numbers.
Static pressure first
A five-minute test that tells us whether the system is fighting the ductwork. Most residential systems we test are running well over the design limit.
Room-by-room measurement
We measure delivered air at each register and compare it to what the room needs. The problem room usually turns out to be getting half of it.
The cheapest fix first
Frequently that is one added return and a damper adjustment. We will offer that before we offer to redesign your duct system.
You get the before and after
The same measurements, taken again when we are done. If the numbers did not move, we have not finished.

Airflow testing is a flat fee and is credited against any duct work we then do. Repairs and modifications are quoted per the findings, with the minimum-intervention option always priced alongside the thorough one.
Answers before you have to call and ask
Almost never, and it often makes the house worse. If the air is not getting up there, more capacity just means more air going where it already goes. Test the airflow first — it costs a fraction of a system.
Occasionally, after construction or a rodent problem. As a routine service it is oversold, and it does not fix comfort problems. We will tell you honestly if we think yours does not need it.
Usually. Most of what we do happens in the attic, the crawlspace or the mechanical closet. Where a run genuinely has to be replaced through finished space we tell you before you commit, and we patch what we open.
