Replacement
The system you have now will not be the one you have forever.
Age, repeat repairs and a rising bill together usually mean the next dollar is better spent on new equipment than the old one. This page is what that conversation actually involves.

What we install
Five kinds of equipment, one sizing standard.

Central air conditioning
Straight cooling, matched to a furnace or air handler already in the house. Sized from a load calculation, not a match to whatever tonnage was there before.
See the service
Gas furnace
Single-stage, two-stage or modulating, vented correctly and commissioned with the readings written down before we leave.
See the service
Heat pump
One box that heats and cools. Cold-climate models hold useful capacity well below freezing — the "quits at 40°F" reputation is two generations out of date.
See the service
Dual fuel
A heat pump for most of the year with the gas furnace as backup below a changeover temperature set from your actual utility rates.

Ductless mini-split
For the room a duct system was never going to reach — a bonus room, a converted garage, an addition. One or several indoor heads, one outdoor unit.

Not efficiency ratings. This.
The house holds one temperature
Variable-speed equipment runs long and low instead of blasting and stopping. The rooms that always lagged stop lagging.
You stop hearing it
A modern system at low stage is roughly the noise of a fridge. Most people mention this before they mention the bill.
Summer stops feeling damp
Longer run cycles pull moisture out of the air. It is the single biggest comfort difference and nobody puts it on a brochure.
The bill flattens out
Not because of the sticker efficiency, but because a correctly sized system stops short-cycling and stops running the backup heat.
The emergency calls stop
The 11pm August failure is a symptom of equipment at the end of its life. Replacing on your schedule costs less than replacing on its schedule.
It is covered
Ten years of parts coverage on a registered system, plus our workmanship warranty. We handle the registration and email you the confirmation.
Brands we stock
- Trane
- Carrier
- Rheem
- Daikin
- Mitsubishi Electric
- Goodman
We install several brands rather than one. A shop that only sells one manufacturer will always find a reason your house needs that manufacturer.
- Workmanship
- 2 years on our workmanship
- Parts
- 10 years on parts for systems we install and register
Manufacturer coverage depends on the equipment and on registering it inside 90 days. We do the registration for you and email you the confirmation.
Financing — a third-party lender
A system dies when it dies. Rarely in a convenient month.
Replacement financing is available through an independent lender, applied for online and approved in minutes. We do not lend the money, we do not set the rates, and we do not earn more if you finance.
- Who lendsAn independent lender, not us
- Who sets the rateThe lender, shown before you commit
- Our incentiveNone — we earn the same either way
Financing is provided by an independent third party and is subject to credit approval. Rates and terms come from the lender, not from us, and are shown on their application before you commit to anything.
